Gutters in plain English
A great roof still fails if the water pouring off it can't get away from the house. We install brand-new seamless gutters and downspouts, formed on-site to fit your home exactly, in the color that matches your trim, siding or roof. Every color is the same price — we never charge extra to match your house.
Gutter installation is our focus here: tearing off old, leaking sectional gutters and replacing them with a system sized for Seattle rain. We roll-form 5" and 6" K-style gutters in your driveway from a single strip of .032 gauge aluminum — noticeably heavier than the .027 stock big-box installers use — so the only joints are at the corners. Every corner is hand-mitered and sealed, hidden hangers are screwed into solid fascia every 24", and each run is pitched about 1/4" per 10 ft so water never sits. Downspouts are sized to the roof area (3x4" on larger runs) and routed away from your foundation. Pick from our 6 baked-enamel colors — white, almond, black, dark bronze, musket brown and gray — at no extra cost. Before we hang anything, we check the fascia boards and replace any soft wood so your new gutters have something solid to hold on to. Want leaf protection too? Do you charge extra for gutter colors?+
No. All 6 of our colors are the same price — white, almond, black, dark bronze, musket brown and gray. Pick whatever matches your house best.
How much do new seamless gutters cost?+
For a typical Seattle single-family home (~150 linear feet of gutter), aluminum seamless runs $1,800 – $3,500 depending on stories, downspout count and fascia condition. Copper half-round is 3 – 5x higher.
5" or 6" gutters — which do I need?+
5" handles most typical homes. Go to 6" if your roof is over 2,500 sq ft, has long single-slope runs, has valleys dumping into one gutter, or you've had overflow issues with 5" before. Downspouts should scale up to 3x4" at the same time.
How long does gutter installation take?+
Most single-family homes are finished in one day, including removing the old gutters and cleaning up.
Can I add gutters to a roof you didn't install?+
Yes. We install gutters as a standalone service on any roof — we just inspect the fascia condition and let you know if any needs replacing first.
