A great roof still fails if the water pouring off it can't get away from the house. We roll-form seamless aluminum gutters on-site, install heavy-gauge downspouts, and add micro-mesh leaf guards that actually work in a Douglas-fir climate.
We form 5" and 6" K-style gutters on-site from a single strip of .032 gauge aluminum — noticeably heavier than the .027 stock big-box installers use. Every corner is hand-mitered and sealed, hidden hangers are screwed into fascia every 24", and downspouts are properly sized (3x4" on larger runs) so they don't overflow in a downpour. For homes buried under conifers, we add stainless steel micro-mesh guards that snap under the first course of shingles — no roof warranty voided, no more ladder trips twice a year.

Are leaf guards worth it in Seattle?+
If you have any conifers (fir, cedar, pine) over your roof — yes, absolutely. Micro-mesh guards pay for themselves in 3 – 4 years of skipped gutter cleaning, and they prevent the ice-dam and fascia-rot damage that clogged gutters cause every winter.
5" or 6" gutters — which do I need?+
5" handles most typical homes. Go to 6" if your roof is over 2,500 sq ft, has long single-slope runs, has valleys dumping into one gutter, or you've had overflow issues with 5" before. Downspouts should scale up to 3x4" at the same time.
Can I add gutters to a roof you didn't install?+
Yes. We install gutters as a standalone service on any roof — we just inspect the fascia condition and let you know if any needs replacing first.
Where does the downspout water actually go?+
Best practice is to move it at least 4 – 6 ft from the foundation, ideally into a tight-line that drains to daylight, a dry well, or a French drain. We can quote that as part of your gutter project.
