How Emergency Roof Tarping works

When wind or a falling branch opens up a roof, a tarp can help limit further water getting in until a permanent repair is made. Call us to check availability.

We cannot promise a response time. Whether and when we can tarp depends on our availability, the weather and whether the roof can be accessed safely. If it is not safe, we will tell you and come back when it is.

Emergency tarping, explained

Temporary protection

A tarp covers the damaged area and is secured so it sheds water over the opening. It is meant to buy time, not to last.

Availability, weather and access

Call (425) 505-0466. We will tell you honestly whether and when we can help. We do not go on a roof when wind, lightning, ice or the damage itself makes it unsafe.

Before we arrive

Stay off the roof. Move belongings away from leaks, catch dripping water, and if water is near electrical fixtures, turn off power to that area if it is safe to do so. Photos of the damage can help with an insurance claim.

The permanent repair

After tarping, we inspect the damage and give you a written scope for the permanent repair, or replacement if the damage is extensive.
